It is still Quarantine Time, which means more baking, more baking and more baking. Today I have come up with the utmost delicious, creamy, buttery and everyone's favourite "Butter Cookies"..
It is made up of flour, sugar, vanilla essence and loads and loads of butter, Crispy edges with melt in your mouth texture..
Ingredients
2 cups of All Purpose Flour
Pinch Of Salt
1-1/4 cups of Super Fine Granulated sugar
3/4 cup of Unsalted Butter, At room temperature
1 Tsp Vanilla Essence
2 Eggs
Instructions
1. Preheat oven at 180 Degrees for 15 Mins, line a baking tray and set aside.
2. In a bowl, mix together the flour and pinch of salt.
3. In the bowl, cream together the butter and granulated sugar until creamy.
4. Add the eggs and mix until well incorporated.
5. Add the dry mixture and mix until you have a smooth dough.
6. Place some of the dough in a piping bag thatβs been fitted with a large star tip and pipe out little cookies a couple inches apart on the prepared baking sheet.
OR
Roll the dough into a form of log. Cling wrap it tightly and refrigerate for 30 Mins.
Once the dough is tight and firm, remove from the oven, cut into thick cookies and place it on the prepared baking tray. Sprinkle some granulated sugar on top of each cookie, for a crunch.
7. Bake for about 10 to 15 minutes or until lightly golden. Allow to cool completely before serving.
Serve with tea and store them in a air tight container.
