Triple Chocolate Cake 🍫🍰🍫🍰

Dt. 30th May, 2020.

There are so many chocolate cake recipes floating on the internet which I have tried and tested but none gave the satisfaction which i get from my below recipe.

This is indeed my go to "Chocolate Cake" recipe which i have been using since the day i started baking and is totally Decadent..

You can also call this as Triple Choco cake as there is unsweetened choco chips, handful of dark chocolate and ofcourse coco powder..

A splash of strong coffee makes the cake super moist, dense and light in texture.

To make this all you need is

Ingredients - To be at room temperature --- 12oz Self Rising  Or All Purpose Flour | 8oz Sugar | 5oz Milk | 100 gm Butter | 2 Eggs 1/2 tsp Baking Powder | 1/4 tsp Baking Soda | 3 tbsp Coco Powder | 1/2 tsp Vanilla Essence | 1/2 Cup Unsweetened Choco Chips And Lindt Dark Chocolate 🍫🍫🍫🍫

+ 1 small/tiny cup of strong brewed coffee(I use Davidoff Espresso 57 Intense Coffee) as it brings out the best flavors.

Instructions -

Step 1 - Preheat oven at 180 Deg. Line a cake pan with parchment paper and grease the sides with non stick cooking spray. Set aside.

Step 2 - In a bowl, cream together butter and sugar till pale yellow in color.

Step 3 - Add in eggs(one at a time) and mix well till all the eggs are well incorporated. In a separate bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda and coco powder.

Gradually add in all the dry ingredients alongwith milk and vanilla essence in the egg-sugar mixture.

Using a spatula mix together all the ingredients till everything is mixed well.

Then using a electric hand mixer, cream the mixture till it is thick and creamy in texture.

Do not over mix the batter else it will have bread like consistency.

Pour the batter in the prepared tray.

Tap the baking pan a little so that the batter spreads evenly and all the excess air is removed. Bake in the preheated oven till a inserted toothpick comes out clean. (Approx for 35-40 mins.)

Once done, take the cake out and leave it on a wire rack to cool down completely.

To Make the Frosting ___ 1 Pac of Dream Whip  |  1/2 Cup of chilled milk | 1/2 Tsp of Vanilla Essence | 2 Tbsp Of coco powder for dense flavor

Prep - In a chilled glass bowl, empty the dream whip sachet, add cold milk and vanilla essence. Using a electric hand mixture, beat on high speed till soft peaks are formed.

Gradually add in coco powder and castor sugar, Mix together using a spatula until everything is well combined.

Refrigerate for about 2-3 Hours.

Spread the coco whipped cream evenly on the prepared cake and decorate with Sprinklers/Gems. Put the cake in the fridge to let it set as it will help in cutting the perfect slice..

Note - You can cut  the cake into two equal portions and then spread the frosting. This way you will have more frosting on the cake.

Also you can use fresh cream, if you do not have Dream Whip.
